Meet the Musicians

Our members have a combined total of almost 240 years of playing time.  Our experiences include performing in concert bands, jazz bands, both traditional jazz and big bands, as well as solo ventures.  We not only have fun playing trombone, but also enjoy arranging selections to add a special flare and attitude to the songs!

Glenn Shull - Tenor Trombone

Glenn is a retired instrumental music teacher, having taught for 35 years.  His teaching experience spanned from Elementary grades through the University level.  He has an Associate in Arts Degree from Colorado Mesa University and a Bachelor and Masters of Art degrees from the University of Northern Colorado.  He is in his 68th year as a professional trombonist since the age of 17.

Wilson Winner - Tenor Trombone

Wilson began playing the trombone in 5th grade and was not able to reach 7th position. Now, after 55  years of playing, he finds that playing jazz and improvisation is the most fun. Somewhere during those years his right arm grew to where can (more easily) reach 7th position!  Wilson has been a member of many bands over the years.

Keith Leonard - Tenor/Bass Trombone

Keith majored in Music Education for 3 years at the University of Northern Colorado before choosing a different career path. He has about 55 years of playing time in many groups in the Northern Colorado area and has played most music styles, except rap, but he's always open to new experiences.  He has been with Bone Addicts for about 2 1/2 years.

Ron Jensen - Bass Trombone

Ron has been playing trombone for almost 60 years.  He switched to bass trombone in college.  He currently plays in Bone Addicts, Colorado Swing Big Band and the Foothills Symphonic Band. He enjoys most styles of music but prefers jazz. He has been involved in music his whole life, and is very important to him.
